In SAP Business One, inside the Business Partner Master Data Window, you will find the second tab is called Contact Persons.
If the business partner is an organization, in this tab you’ll store the contact information for all the employees or related personnel for that company.
If the business partner is an individual, you will store their contact information here. Sometimes even with just an individual contact person you may choose to store a relative or spouses contact information here if they do not have their own Business Partner record.
To Add a New Contact
The default fields available for each contact person are:
- Contact ID (Their name or nickname)
- Firts Name
- Title (Mr. Mrs. etc.)
- Middle Name
- Position (ie. CEO)
- Last Name
- Telephone 1
- Telephone 2
- Mobile Phone
- Remarks 1 (optional extra field)
- Remarks 2 (optional extra field)
- Active or Inactive checkbox
NOTE: You do not have to complete all the information to save a new Contact.
