After you revalidate the manual internal reconciliations that match the selection criteria you defined, this window displays the reconciliations that fail to pass the new validation.

This window is divided into two sections:

  • Reconciliation History – lists the reconciliations that fail to pass the new validation.
  • Reconciliation Details – lists the transactions associated with the selected reconciliation in the Reconciliation History section.

Reconciliation History Section

Recon. No.
Displays the reconciliation number assigned to the internal reconciliation by SAP Business One when the reconciliation took place.

Recon. Amount
Displays the total amount of the reconciliation.

Recon. Type
Displays the type of the reconciliation, based on whether the reconciliation is a result of document creation or user initiation.

  • Manual – Reconciliation was performed by selecting the Manual radio button in the Internal Reconciliation – Selection Criteria window.
  • Semi-Automatic – Reconciliation was performed by selecting the Semi-Automatic radio button in the Internal Reconciliation – Selection Criteria window.
  • Automatic – Reconciliation was performed by selecting the Automatic radio button in the Internal Reconciliation – Selection Criteria window.
  • Bank Statement Processing – Reconciliation was performed by the bank statement procession function, according to the user-defined matching criteria.
  • Cancellation – Reconciliation was canceled by using the Cancel Reconciliation button in this window or the Manage Previous Internal Reconciliations window.
  • Period Closing – Reconciliation was automatically performed when a period-end closing adjustment was created at the year end.
  • Deposit – Reconciliation is the result of creating a deposit document for checks, cash credit card vouchers, or bills of exchange.
  • Payment – Reconciliation is the result of creating an incoming or outgoing payment for specific documents/transactions.
  • Credit Memo – Reconciliation is the result of copying an A/P or A/R invoice to an A/P or A/R credit memo.

Reconciliation Date
Displays the date on which the reconciliation took place. For manual reconciliations, it is the date specified in the Reconciliation Date field in the Internal Reconciliation window. For reconciliations resulting from document creation (payments, credit memos), the reconciliation date is the posting date of the latest document to be included in the reconciliation.

Example: An incoming payment is created for two different A/R invoices that were created a week ago and two days ago. The posting date of the incoming payment is the current date. The current date is considered as the reconciliation date in this case.

Canceling/Canceled Reconciliation Number
If the reconciliation is the result of canceling a former reconciliation and then re-reconciling, the number of the former reconciliation is displayed.

Revalidation Failure
Displays the reason why the reconciliation failed to pass the revalidation. There are the following reasons:

  • Reconciliation must contain only one payment on account: you can only reconcile one withholding tax payment at a time.
  • Both applied amount and WTax amount need to be reconciled: in manual reconciliations, both the applied amount and withholding tax amount need to be reconciled.

Reconciliation Details Section

Origin
Displays the document or transaction type that initiated the posting of each transaction. Choose the Link to (Link to) icon to open the document or transaction.

Example: IN represents a transaction resulting from the creation of an A/R invoice. For a complete list of origins, see Transaction Type Abbreviations Legend.

Origin No.
Displays the number of the document that initialed the creation of the transaction, for example, the number of the A/R invoice.

G/L Acct/BP Code
Displays the code of the G/L account or business partner to which the reconciled transaction row was posted. Choose the Link to (Link to) icon to open the account or business partner master data.

Ref. 1
Displays the value in the Ref. 1 field for the corresponding journal entry row.

Due Date
Displays the value in the Due Date field for the corresponding journal entry row.

Amount
Displays the original amount of the corresponding journal entry row. Amounts in brackets reflect negative amounts.

Applied Amount
Displays the amount from the transaction row that was reconciled in this reconciliation. When the applied amount is different from the value in the Amount field, it indicates that the transaction row is partially reconciled by this reconciliation.

Cancel Reconciliation
Choose to cancel the selected reconciliation. You cancel one reconciliation at a time.

Note: Reconciliations resulting from the following scenarios cannot be canceled, and therefore when selecting such reconciliations, the Cancel Reconciliation button is disabled:

  • Creating incoming or outgoing payments for specific transactions
  • Creating A/P or A/R credit memos based on existing documents
  • Reversing transactions by using the Reverse option in the Journal Entry window
  • Canceling transactions by using the Cancel option in the Date menu
